Frequently asked questions

How is Slidelang different from DeepL or Google Translate?

DeepL translates PPTX files well, but it needs a subscription, does not accept Google Slides links, and leaves text inside images untranslated. Slidelang covers all three: paste a Google Slides link, translate the text in your charts and screenshots, and pay per deck instead of per month.

Will my layout really survive?

Yes. Slidelang rewrites only the text inside your existing shapes, so fonts, colors, positions, animations and slide masters stay untouched. Translated text is refitted so it does not overflow the original text boxes.

What does it cost?

Most PowerPoint files translated without images use 1 credit — $0.20 with the pay-as-you-go pack. Your first deck (up to 1,000 text passages) is free after Google sign-in. Visual translation is quoted separately before anything is charged, and no subscription is required.

What happens to my file?

Your PPTX archive is processed temporarily on servers hosted by Hetzner in Germany and is never sent to third parties. Only extracted text — and eligible images when visual translation is enabled — are sent to configured AI translation providers. Quotes expire after about 30 minutes and download links after about 1 hour. Uploaded presentations are not used to train models.
